Be thankful for what you have, not harping on what you don't

It's been 5 days past this blog's 2nd anniversary and I only just remembered it! I'm usually the one who diligently remembers anniversaries, life-changing moments and landmark events in my life. Oh, dear that does sound a little narcissistic, self-absorbed or just a person with too much time on her hands? So, forgetting this anniversary is a marked change for me. A casual friend who I complained about what's wrong with my life to, simply had this to say - "Dearie, compare yourself to those who have less than you and yet they carry on living. Then you will be thankful for what you have, not harping on what you don't".

Indeed, this year end i was busy doing things for others - planning, helping, creating, organising, soliciting (donations), meeting, uniting, sharing & caring - and it was fulfilling & rewarding to my soul!

As 2009 draws to a close, I am asked what my resolutions are for the new year. I say "This year I don't make much resolutions - I am just grateful for what I have & hope to be doing more things that can attract positive things into my life & people around me!

HAPPY NEW DECADE!
